Join the de Saisset Museum for a free Family Day Festival celebrating the power of sharing individual stories and cultural histories through the arts.

Festivities include hands-on artmaking activities, storytelling and exhibition tour with exhibiting artist Belle Yang, music performances, a photo booth, an art scavenger hunt, and more!

Come and go as you please, but don’t miss the chance to see what the arts at SCU have to offer.

Timing of Events:
1-3pm Hands-on artmaking (including journals, painting, and collage), Photo booth, Scavenger hunt, Tours of California History

1:15pm Storytelling: Artist & author Belle Yang reads her book “Foo the Flying Frog of Washtub Pond”

1:45pm Belle Yang leads a tour of her artwork in exhibition “Crossing Cultures: Belle Yang, A Story of Immigration”

2:30pm Firebird Youth Chinese Orchestra performs
